WebCT - Taking a Quiz

NOTE: Make sure you will not be
interrupted while you are taking a quiz. If you use a dialup connection to the
Internet, let your family or roommates know so they won't disconnect you. If you
have a problem with your connection that interrupts your quiz before you have
finished, notify your instructor immediately.
- Open the Quiz Tool. Notice that
availability dates, maximum possible grade and quiz duration are listed for
each quiz.
- Click the link (name) of the quiz you want to take. Notice that
available quizzes have a pencil icon in front of the quiz name.
- If you have never taken a WebCT quiz before, read the instructions
carefully.
- When you are ready to take the quiz, click the [Begin
Quiz] button.

Your name, the date, time appear
at the top of the quiz. On the upper right side of the quiz window is a
Time Remaining
window to help you keep track of how much time you have. The
gold circle
●icon under a
quiz number on the right side of the window indicates an unanswered
question. The red
exclamation point
! indicates a question
answered, but not saved. The blue check mark

indicates a question answered and saved.
- To answer multiple choice or True-False questions, click the circle in
front of the correct answer. To answer short answer or essay questions, type
your answer in the blank.
- Click the [Save
answer] button, and then click the [Next
Question] button.
- When you think you have finished, look at the question grid on the right
side of the window to ensure that all questions display the blue check mark.
If there are still unanswered or unsaved questions, go back to each one by
clicking the red exclamation point or gold circle, answer the question, and
click the [Save answer]
button.
- Click the [Finish] button in the lower left
corner of the window. Confirm that you want to Submit
Quiz for
Grading.
- If the instructor has made the option available, you can click the [View
Results] button under the message that you've
successfully submitted the quiz. You can see your score, which questions you
got right, and which ones you missed as well as how long you spent taking
the quiz.
